Saving the Work-Order

Overview

Most changes made in the Work-Order will put it into edit mode. The edit mode can be easily recognized by looking at which buttons are available at the top.

If the save is active, you are in edit mode. If not, you are in read mode.

Any changes made in edit mode must be either saved or cancelled.

  • Clicking the active will save your changes

  • Clicking the cancel sign or closing the Work-Order while agreeing to loose your changes will cancel

Once you save your process, it is important to note that some changes will be saved instantly while other (longer processes) might save in the background. Saves that are done in the background are recognized by grayed out buttons that become unavailble after a recent save. Once these controls become available again, the background process is complete. Even when a save is still occuring in a the background, you can close the Work-Order without worrying about loosing anything as the save will continue to run.

See Limitations of Background Processes for more details.
