Use the margin of the classification project

Use the margin of the classification project

When importing jobs, when selecting a project classification, this margin is used, otherwise it is that of the manufacturer configuration by default.

The feature only applies when creating a new folder on a quotation. This is also the case when merging with an existing quotation. Once this import has been carried out, the % of the margin is not adjusted: it remains as it is.

This specific margin is used and visible only in a product 'folder' (A parent folder).

This module must be activated to use the following functionality

Project Classification

In the project classification, the entry of a margin is available. It will be considered in priority when importing a job on quotations (only quotations).

When this margin is 0%, the margin from the manufacturer configuration will be considered.

A project classification fle with a 34 % margin

Manufacturer Configuration

In the Manufacturer configuration, the default margin is used for importing a job on a quotation.

The manufacturer configuration allows the entry of a default margin used during import.

Importing a job with selection of a classification

When importing a job, the selection of a project classification is required. In the import step, the project classification has no impact. It is only when saving that it will be considered.

Only when creating a new folder - both for a new quotation and for merging with an existing quotation - the classification margin % will be assigned.

Rule

A project classification containing a % other than 0 will be assigned to the new folder. Otherwise, the margin from the manufacturer configuration applies.

During the import action, the selection of a project classification is required

Use

In a quotation, access to this margin is from a product file.

It is visible and used in the costing tab.

Opening a folder
The margin is that coming from the project classification. It can be changed as needed. It will no longer be modified later by other imports because the folder exists.
