Single User Editing - Visual Processor
Want to allow only one person to edit the visual processor at a time? The feature allows:
Read only for certain users
Display a notification when the processor is currently locked by a person (under modification)
Refresh the processor automatically every X minutes (1 minute by default) when making changes
Â
By default, a user (his permission group) cannot move visual processor sticks.
The 'Visual Processor Scheduling Modification' permission enables the move.
When a user changes the visual processor, the feature is locked.
No other users can move sticks.
A message is displayed indicating by whom and when the lock is active.
Â
Â
When the user responsible of the lock saves their changes or exits the visual processor, a refresh is performed for other users.
Important
Refreshing occurs once per minute at a minimum. It is possible to increase the refresh times to reduce the overhead to the database. See below.
In case of involuntary shutdown (disconnection from the network), the user responsible for the lock accesses and leaves the window to unlock automatically.
There is a configuration to increase visual processor refresh times. By default, it is one minute.
To reduce the overhead to the database, increasing the delay is suggested.
To access this setting, go to the manufacturer configuration file and the 'Calendar' tab.
