Work Order Type
Work Order Type is a module to display and manage a type per work order (e.g. services, defiency).
For each type, a prefix can be used to display the number of a work order with it.
Within a work order type, it is possible to select a service code per work order line.
This document elaborates on the steps of using and configuring this feature.
Let's start with the
Configuration
The ‘Manufacturer’ permission is required to access work order type management and service code management.
Work Order Type
In the configuration, ‘Manufacturer’ menu, the ‘Work order type’ submenu provides access to the management of work order types.
Entering a work order type has certain particularities
A-The entry of a type is possible in French and English. The entry in French reports the same information on the English field if it is empty. This type will be displayed in a column in certain windows with a selection of the type (e.g.: in the work order) and in certain windows with a reference to the work orders. It is not possible to enter the same type of work order several times.
B-The prefix allows the display of the type of BT in certain windows with a reference to the work orders (e.g.: WO-R-4021-1)
C-The obligation applies for the entry of service codes (next section).
D-This option allows you to print the service codes for this type of work order. By default, this is not checked when creating a work order type.
Service Code
In the configuration, ‘Manufacturer’ menu, the ‘Service code’ submenu allows access to service code management.
Entering a service code has some special features.
A-Entering a code and service must be unique per work order type
B-Selecting a work order type is mandatory. By default, the work order type ‘WORK ORDER’ is available. This represents the default for a service code.
