Installation calendar

The installation calendar allows you to manage both your delivery and installer’s schedule while having all the information related to the work-orders close at hand.

 

The calendar

While it helps you coordinate the deliveries and installations with your installers and customers, the calendar is also useful for consulting purposes for the other departments. From sellers wanting to be aware of their project’s advancement to the purchaser dealing with deliveries running late, the schedule visibility offered by the calendar becomes a considerable advantage.

Need to find a specific project? Search for it in the work-order table at the window’s bottom and click on ‘'Locate''. It will be displayed in the calendar and you will then be able to see when and who’s in charge of the installation.

The calendar also offers you a daily, weekly or monthly view, depending on your needs.

 

 

 

Simulation (scheduling)

Easy to use, the installation calendar allows you to access plentiful information in order to achieve a quick and efficient schedule. To start planning, you will first have to open the simulation.

To schedule a new delivery or installation, click on the ‘'WO to plan’', select a work-order and click on ‘'Display times’'. These represent the sums of installation time attributed to each product in your work-order. Select it then drag and drop it at the desired date and team, and you’re done!

Change of plans? We got you. You only have to find your work-order through the work-order table at the bottom of the window, and use the ‘'Locate’' button. Once found, click on the time stick and move it to the new desired date. You may also unplan it completely by using the right-click and select ‘'Unplan''. It will then be returned under the ‘'WO to plan’' tab.

It may also happen that more than one team has to work on the same project. For this kind of situation, you only have to select the time to plan, right-click on it and select ‘'split planning’'. Choose how you want to split it, then click on ‘'OK’'. The time is now divided and you will be able to schedule all of your teams.

Once your schedule is done, you only have to click on the checkmark to save it.

Note that the planned install date will be updated in the work-order.

 

Configuration

Before using your calendar, you will need to create teams and associate them to the right department (delivery or installation) in order to have the right time to be planned coming from the work-order.

The team table is accessible through the scheduling window>Maintenance>Team.

From this table, you can create, modify, merge, or delete a team. You can also assign them one or more schedules based on their availability and holidays.
