Payment method

You’re offering more than one payment method? With the payment method in Cienapps, you will be able to easily track which payment mode was used and when taking a deposit or making a receipt. You will also be able to link them with your great account ledgers in order to have coherent information when transferring your accounting information to your accounting system.

 

The payment mode is necessary when making a deposit or making a receipt. When printing some reports, such as the daily report or receipts report, it will be used to filter the different ways to pay for your customers, helping you to make your daily conciliation.

You may access the payment mode window through the configuration menu>Accounting>Payment mode.

From this window, you will be able to add, modify or delete a payment mode.

 

 

Creating a new payment mode

To create a new payment mode, click on ‘'new’'. Enter the name and select the great ledger account linked to it.

You can then define additional options, if applicable:

  • Money
    This option will round the total to the nearest 0.05$ when taking a cash payment.

  • Exact amount added automatically
    If payment is taken when transferring the order to an invoice and that this checkbox is activated on the selected payment mode, the exact balance amount will be entered automatically in the payment received field.

  • Authorization number is mandatory
    When entering a payment, an authorization number will be required.

  • Administrative payment
    Add password protection on that payment mode. It can be used, amongst other things, for conciliation purposes.

In case of payment by credit card, you can also put the card number as mandatory, and add a picture.

Note that it is also possible to enter a great leader account by payment mode based on the branch, is you have the multi-branch module.
