Reserve products by work order

You can reserve your product by work-order through the ‘'Just in time’' window, under the ‘'To process by work-order’'

Product to be reserve is triggered based on multiples variables:

• Inventory availability

• Work-order’s estimated due date, based on either end of production date and/or install date

• Purchasing forecast date in the ‘'just in time’' window

Reserving product by work-order

To reserve products, you must provide the ‘'Forecast until’' date and then click on the button Display. At this point, you can also filter by supplier.

The window will display three tables:

• Ongoing work-order table

• Product to reserve

• Product to buy

The order in which these tables are displayed is for a specific reason; product reservation must come in first place, as it will impact products to buy, if applicable.

Products to reserve represent product on work-orders that are in B/O with available quantities in your inventory.

To reserve, you must first select one work-order at a time, in order to display products to be reserved. These will be displayed in the second table; then, you can select product individually or make a quick selection for all products by using the ‘'+/-’' tool, then click on ‘'Reserve’'.

Once your product reserved, quantities will be updated in the respective work-orders. In case of insufficient quantities in inventory to cover for all required material, the outstanding B/O product will be displayed in the ‘'To buy’' table.
