Processor task manager

The processor is a tool that automatically generates tasks to be performed on a work order based on the times triggered by a workshop or department.

In order to know which task the WO will have to trigger, we must create a workflow that we will assign to it. Workflow creation is done through the “Workflow” window.

A workflow consists of several tasks being associated with a model.

The task template allows you to define when and how a task will be created

When creating a workflow or modifying it, you can either create a new task model or add an already existing model

The following information must be defined

  • The name of the task

  • What will be the step of the WO once the task is closed (optional)

  • The day on which the task is triggered allows us to know the due date of our task according to the due date or the installation date of the WO (positive or negative whole number eg: -4 days)

  • The sequence (used with the visual processor)

  • The type of triggering of the task (depending on the due date or the installation date)

  • The workshop or department that will be used to trigger and calculate the duration of the task to be accomplished. This option can be empty if the task is not linked to a workshop or department.

  • Employee to whom the task will be assigned (Make sure that the employee has the right competencies configured in his employee file first, under the ‘'competency’' tab. It’s also possible not to choose an employee, although competency still needs to be set-up for later use in the processor)

  • Description of the task (optional)

  • Communications that will be sent automatically (optional)

Once the workflow (s) are created, you can choose the one that will be chosen by default when creating a new WO.

Once the workflow chosen in the WO, the different tasks will be generated according to the models forming part of the workflow and the time of the different workshops or departments.

If a task is associated with a workshop or department with 0 minutes, the task will not be created.

The duration of a task will be updated if the workshop or related department time is changed.

The processor view is ultimately used by all employees to see what tasks they must perform scheduled according to their due date.

The processor view can filter tasks in several ways.

  • By employee (assigned or by skill)

  • By WO

  • By task type

  • By custom view

The graph at the bottom allows you to analyze the work to be done per day VS the time taken by the closed task

It is possible from this window to do the following actions

  • Open task

  • Close task

  • Punching on the task (punch module, can only be done with the right competency set-up in the employee file)

  • Open the processor calendar (Visual processor calendar module)
