How to Create a New Feature

If the Feature that we need is not already created we need to create a new one.

Press the + Button next to the Features list.

This will open the Features Window.

First we need to create a feature Code. The Code is what we will use in the Price Formula to create a specific comparaison formula, usually it will be the same has the Name.

Next we need to give it a Name. If you intend to sale to french customer just enter the French Name in French if not paste the same in the Code, Name and French Name.

The Description is not used with the Catalog, you can use it as a Note to enter anything you want but it will not show.

Now we need to select in wich Category this Feature will be available.

Select the Drop Down menu next to Category.

Then Select the Category that you want this Feature to show in.

Next it’s time to think about wich cost or price case we will use.

For the Example we will create a MAPLE material choice, we will use the square feet cost.

Enter the Code, Name and French Name

Select the Category

Then, Fill the Cost Square Feet case with your Production Material Square Feet Cost

The best way to use the cost or price case is to select the same one for all the Features of a Category.

Doing that will make the Price Formula creation allot easier.

All the min and max Values are not used in the Catalog yet.

If you want to show an image of the choice when this feature will be selected then press the image button.

Once the Select an Image window is open just pick the image you need the press Open.

If you have the ORD option with your catalog and need this Feature to transfer a specific value to Cabinet Vision you need to know more about How to Configure a Feature for the ORD .

If you have filled everything you are ready to press the Ok button
