Product Mapping
What is product mapping ?
Mapping your products makes it simpler whenever sending orders to your suppliers. It allows you to map one of you internal product code to your supplier’s product code.

Although mapping might seem to slow you down, Cieblink will only ask you to map them once. Once it has been mapped, this mapping will be saved and you will not have to do it again.
Since mapping prevents possible confussion between your supplier and yourself, an automatic response is more likely and, whenever the automatic response is not available, it will simplify the order processing process to your supplier, giving you a faster processing time in all your interactions with your supplier.
When do you have to map products ?
Many situation might lead you to the product mapping page, from transfering an order from Cienapps to importing a product list from an Excel. It is important to note that mapping is a blocking step, you will need to map your products before you can return to your order.
How do you map products ?
Product mapping is simple and quick. The mapping page will only show you the products that require mapping. Each product has its own line, presenting its product code, product name and product description. To map a product :
Click on the Link button from the product line you want to map
A window will pop up with a search field. Above this search field, you will see the product code you are linking.
Search for the corresponding product
In the results, identify the corresponding product, and click on Link
The line status will switch from “Linking required” to show what product will be linked to this line.
If you wish to edit your mapping, you can click on Edit at any time
After your first search, if you did not find the product you are looking for, you will have the option to Create the product.
To take advantage of the product mapping process, it is important to only create new products only when strictly necesary. Indeed, this product will only exists in your internal product list, this could incur additional delays for your supplier when processing your order.
