Kanban inventory management
This feature is accessible in the scanning window from the menu.
When this module is activated, the form configuration makes the 'Inventory' tab available.
This feature has two scanning modes: automatic and manual
Automatic Mode
A-Scanning a product code enables the use of the feature. This field can be used by a typical handheld scanner or by manual entry.
B-When scanning with this option enabled, the inventory associated with the product is automatically adjusted by addition or subtraction (option C)
C-By default, a scan subtracts 1 from the inventory for the targeted product. This option allows adding quantities +1. Upon a successful scan, a toast notification is displayed.
Manual Mode
A-Scanning a product code enables the use of the feature. This field can be used by a typical handheld scanner or by manual entry.
B-Unchecking this option switches the scanning to manual mode
C-In manual mode, scanned products are added to the grid below. The quantity is adjusted by +1 or -1 (depending on the Remove from inventory or Add to inventory option). It is also possible to manually enter the quantity.
D-When the scanning operation is completed on the targeted products, the 'Process' button confirms the inventory adjustment for the products in the grid. When used, a confirmation is requested from the user.
Special Cases
Scanning does not allow removing inventory below 0 for a product. When this occurs, a toast message is displayed.
Scanning History
The 'History' tab allows viewing the entry of quantity changes.
A date range (start - end) allows filtering the cases to display.
The 'Show' button retrieves the list of cases within the targeted date range.
