Mass Import of Products in Cienapps
🎯 Objective
This feature allows you to add or modify multiple products at once in Cienapps, whether they are buyer or seller products.
With this method, you can quickly build your product database without having to create each record manually.
🧭 Steps to Follow
1. Open the product entry in table format
In the planning window, click on the File menu.
Select the option Product Entry – Table Format.
💡 This action opens what is called the quick product sheet.
2. View and filter existing products
The quick product sheet displays the complete list of products already in your database.
You can:
Filter by category,
Filter by availability (all, available, or unavailable).
🟡 Note : “Unavailable” means inactive.
This allows you to display disabled products, for example to reactivate them or reuse certain existing configurations.
3. Export the list to Excel
To work more easily on your products:
Right-click anywhere in the table.
Select Export Table to Excel.
You will get an Excel file that you can fill, modify, or use as a template for import.
4. Modify or add your products in Excel
In the exported Excel file:
You can add new products by filling in the empty rows.
You can also modify existing products (for example their descriptions, prices, categories, etc.).
⚠️ Important :
Never modify the product code column if you are updating an existing product.
The product code is the unique key used by Cienapps to recognize products.
If you change it, the system will create a new product instead of updating the old one.
5. Import your Excel file into Cienapps
Once your Excel file is completed:
Return to the product entry window – table format.
Select Import Excel List.
Choose your file, then click OK.
Cienapps will analyze your file and:
Update existing products (based on their product code),
Create new added products.
