Purchase Processing by Folder
Context
In industrial or production folder management, Just-In-Time (JIT) purchasing is essential to reduce inventory and optimize lead times. However, a single work order may group multiple distinct folders, each requiring specific products to be reserved or purchased.
This complexity makes effective purchase planning and clear visibility of real needs per folder difficult. Without a dedicated tool, the risk of errors, duplicates, or delivery delays increases.
The Purchase Processing by Folder module was developed to address this challenge by enabling the grouping and consolidation of JIT needs by folder. It thus facilitates purchase management, improves team coordination, and ensures better control over procurement.
Module Objective
This module aims to group and consolidate Just-In-Time (JIT) products by folder in order to:
Facilitate purchase planning.
Provide a clear and structured view of needs per folder.
Optimize the processing of work orders that include multiple folders.
Module Activation
Open the Modules window.
Activate the Purchase Processing by Folder option.
JIT Window
Once the module is activated, open the JIT window.
In the existing tab titled "To be processed by work order", a new table named "Folders" is added below the work orders table.
When selecting a line in the work orders table, the "Folders" table automatically updates.
This table only displays folders that contain products to be reserved or purchased.
When selecting a folder in this table, two subtables load and display the products related to that folder, divided into:
Products to reserve
Products to purchase
This organization allows precise and targeted management of needs by folder, facilitating planning and tracking of JIT purchases.
