Sales GL by province

Cienapps offers a feature that allows users to link General Ledger (GL) accounts (Sales, Receivables, Discounts) based on provinces.

Module Activation

To use this feature, please activate the module "Sales GL by Province."

Product Category Record

Within the product category record, the "Sales Account" tab provides a table that allows linking each province to a specific GL account.

Branch Record

In the "Accounting" tab, under the "Great Ledger" section, you’ll find two subsections:

  • "Receivables Account"

  • "Discount Account"

Each of these sections includes a table that simplifies the process of associating each province with a specific Greatl Ledger account.

Invoice

During billing, each line item will reference the GL account according to the configuration set in the product category window, based on the client’s province.

Sales Journal

When closing the sales journal, the system identifies debits for GL accounts in both US dollars (USD) and Canadian dollars (CAD).

Payment Collection

During payment collection, Cienapps considers the client's province to determine which GL account to use, according to the province-to-GL linking configured in the "Branch" window.
